At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, OnePlus has introduced the next iteration of its smartwatch line, the OnePlus Watch 2. This successor to the 2021 debut model in India brings an array of enhancements, including an extended battery life, refined design, upgraded features, and compatibility with Google’s latest Wear OS 4.
The Design of OnePlus Watch 2
Drawing inspiration from the OnePlus 12 series design, the newest OnePlus Watch 2 features a 2.5D sapphire crystal cover. The watch’s body is crafted from US military standard MIL-STD-810H stainless steel, ensuring durability and resilience. Additionally, the smartwatch is IP68 water and dust resistant, weighing approximately 49g without the strap and around 80g with the strap.
Specifications of OnePlus Watch 2
The OnePlus Watch 2 boasts a 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels, offering a maximum brightness of up to 600 nits. Its powerful performance is fueled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 SoC and BES 2700 MCU Efficiency chipset, with the Snapdragon chipset handling intensive tasks like Google apps, while the Efficiency chipset manages background activities and simpler tasks. The device operates on Google’s Wear OS 4 and comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB of storage.
Powering the OnePlus Watch 2 is a 500 mAh battery, capable of providing up to 100 hours of battery life in ‘smart mode’ and up to 48 hours of battery life during ‘heavy use’. OnePlus asserts that the Watch 2 can be fully charged in just 60 minutes using a 7.5W VOOC fast charger.
Price of OnePlus Watch 2 in India
The OnePlus Watch 2 has been priced at ₹24,999 in India. It will be accessible for purchase on various prominent online platforms, such as Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance, Croma, and OnePlus Experience stores, starting from 12 pm on March 4, 2024, through an open sale.
OnePlus has also introduced a ₹2,000 instant discount for customers using the ICICI Bank OneCard for payment. Furthermore, an extra ₹1,000 discount will be provided to customers who link their device to the Red Cable Club between February 26 and March 31.
